Rockies vs. Mets Prediction
Will the Rockies and Mets turn into yet another high-scoring game today at 1:10PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Mets are -140 money line favorites versus the Rockies, who have odds of +130 to pull off the upset in New York. With Jeff Hoffman set to face Steven Matz in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 8.5 runs.

From Rotoworld: Hoffmann allowed four earned runs, seven hits and two walks over seven innings in a no-decision on Saturday against the White Sox. Hoffman threw just 56 of his 94 pitches for strikes, posting only two strikeouts. He has emerged as a surprisingly effective fantasy option, wrapping up the first half with a 5-1 record, 4.15 ERA and 1.29 WHIP across 56 1/3 innings in nine starts and one relief appearance.
Matz allowed five earned runs over 4 1/3 innings Sunday in a loss to the Cardinals. Matz struck out just one batter and surrendered seven hits, including a pair of home runs. The left-hander had looked sharp since coming off the disabled list June 10, especially lately, but his season ERA jumped from 2.12 to 3.05 on Sunday afternoon in St. Louis. He has an underwhelming 23/10 K/BB ratio in 38 1/3 innings.
Bet Today’s Rockies vs. Mets Game
OUR PREDICTION: The over has cashed in four straight meetings between these two teams and in four straight when these teams meet in New York. The over is also 18-7-1 in the Rockies’ last 26 games versus National League East opponents, is 33-15-5 in the Mets’ last 53 home games, and is 51-25-10 in New York’s last 86 games overall. The over has been a great bet in Mets games this season and I expect that trend to play out again today.
SUNDAY MLB PREDICTION: ROCKIES/METS OVER 8.5
