MLB Betting Trends
Oakland
The Athletics are 8-2 in their last 10 road games and 10-3 in their last 13 games against right-handed starters.
Houston
The Astros have won 10 of their last 11 Thursday games and six of Morton’s last seven home starts.
Prediction:
This is a pretty strong pitching matchup and I can see both men holding down the opposing batting order. Oakland has been the better team in this series. The one loss came in extra innings on a botched play. Other than that, the Athletics have made Houston look very beatable at home. I am going to take my chances on another upset this afternoon. I certainly don’t feel like Houston is a slam dunk like the odds would indicate.
The Pick: Oakland Athletics +180
