Brewers’ Peralta holds Braves to one run in victory
Freddy Peralta spun six innings of one-run ball in Friday’s 5-4 victory over the Braves. Peralta was shaky in the first inning. He threw 30 pitches in the frame and gave up an RBI double to Ozzie Albies along the way, but a diving catch from Eric Thames prevented further damage. However, the rookie right-hander settled down nicely after that. He gave up just three hits on the night while walking three and striking out six. Peralta has really impressed in his brief major league career, posting a 2.14 ERA and 46/15 K/BB ratio in 33 2/3 innings over six starts. He should be active in all formats with a start against the Marlins up next.
Marlins’ Straily logs quality start in loss to Nationals
Dan Straily logged a quality start in Friday’s loss to the Nationals, surrendering two runs on five hits over his six frames. The right-hander walked three and only recorded one strikeout on the night. All of the damage against him came in the fourth inning, where Adam Eaton delivered an RBI single and Wilmer Difo followed with a run-scoring single of his own. Straily will carry a 4.55 ERA and 1.38 WHIP into Wednesday’s start against the Brewers. He remains an underwhelming fantasy option.
