Padres vs. Phillies Prediction
Will the Padres complete their sweep of the Phillies on the road today at 1:35PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Phillies are +100 money line underdogs to pull off the upset versus the Padres, who are -120. With Trevor Cahill set to face Jerad Eickhoff in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 8.5 runs.

From Rotoworld: Cahill pitched well in his return from the disabled list but was unable to complete five innings, tossing 4 1/3 shutout frames in a 1-0 win over the Indians. Cahill looked sharp in what was his first outing in the majors in over seven weeks, as he allowed just four hits and two walked while recording four punchouts. However, his pitch count got up to 85 following a one-out infield single and a walk in the fifth inning, and Padres manager Andy Green decided that was enough for the righty in his first start back. While it’s a bummer that he didn’t go long enough to get his fantasy owners a win, it looks to be safe to use him again in your lineup. He’ll face the Phillies on the road in his final start of the first half.
Eickhoff (back) is the probable starter for Sunday’s game against the Padres. Eickhoff was initially placed on the disabled list with an upper back strain on June 20. He turned in a rehab start with Double-A Reading on Tuesday and came away from the outing without physical discomfort. Barring an unexpected setback, he looks to be ready to roll for Sunday before the Phillies head into the All-Star break.
Bet Today’s Padres vs. Phillies Game
