From Rotoworld: Guerra surrendered four runs on eight hits over four-plus innings in Sunday’s loss to the Marlins. Guerra struck out seven and walked three on the afternoon. Three of the four runs on his line scored courtesy of a three-run homer by Marcell Ozuna. The veteran right-hander will carry a 4.93 ERA and 1.60 WHIP into a road showdown with the Yankees in his final start before we hit the All-Star break.
Montgomery allowed three runs on 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision Saturday against the Astros. Montgomery gave up a pair of homers among five hits allowed, having now surrendered 12 homers — including at least one in each of his past five starts — in 15 starts this year. Despite the dingers, it wasn’t a terrible effort from the southpaw, and he remained 6-4 with the no-decision. Montgomery will carry a 3.62 ERA and 1.21 WHIP into an interleague matchup with the Brewers on Friday.
