Colorado Rockies Fantasy Spin
Nolan Arenado went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts on Friday in a loss to the Diamondbacks. We don’t see this very often, do we? Even with the poor day, Arenado is still slashing .318/.382/.574 with 20 homers and 57 RBI over his 86 games with the Rockies in 2019. These things happen.
Arizona Diamondbacks Fantasy Spin
Christian Walker went 3-for-4 with two homers and five RBI on Friday in the Diamondbacks’ 8-0 rout of the Rockies. Walker got the scoring going for the D-Backs with a two-run shot off of Antonio Senzatela, and an inning later, he obliterated a three-run shot off of Jesus Tinoco to extend the lead to 5-0. He’s now driven in 43 runs on the season, and the two round-trippers bring his total to 17 on the year. Walker has slowed down considerably as of late, but he still owns a .263/.332/.505 line, and you will certainly take those numbers; especially considering how low expectations were coming into the year.
MLB Betting Trends
Colorado
The Rockies are 4-0 in Jon Gray’s last four starts.
Arizona
The Diamondbacks have lost four straight games in which Robbie Ray starts.
Prediction:
The Rockies are 6-1 in their last seven games played at Chase Field and are 18-5 in their last 23 games versus the Diamondbacks. They’re also 6-2 in Gray’s last eight road starts and are 17-4 in his last 21 outings when their opponent scores five runs or more in their previous contest. On the other side, the Diamondbacks are just 1-4 in Ray’s last five starts versus the Rockies and are 1-4 in his last five home outings versus Colorado.
The Pick: Colorado Rockies +100
