Padres calling up Perdomo to start Wednesday vs. A's
Luis Perdomo will be called up to start for the Padres on Wednesday afternoon against the Athletics. Perdomo holds an 8.36 ERA in 14 innings (four starts) this season with San Diego and makes for a poor fantasy streaming option against the red-hot A's.
A's Manaea pitches six innings to beat Tigers
Sean Manaea pitched six innings of two-run ball in a win over the Tigers on Thursday. Manaea went 4-2 with a 1.03 ERA in April, 1-4 with a 7.18 ERA in May and now 3-0 with a 2.84 ERA in June. The strikeout rate this month hasn't been nearly what it was in April, so his stock isn't as high as it was then. Still, as long as he can stay healthy, he should be of use in mixed leagues.
MLB Betting Trends
The Padres have lost five of Perdomo's last six starts.
The A's are a perfect 4-0 in Manaea's last four starts.
The under has cashed in seven of Manaea's last nine home starts, is 12-5-2 in his last 19 starts overall, and is 8-3-1 in his last 12 home outings when facing a team with a losing record. On the other side, the under is 4-1 in Perdomo's last five road starts and has cashed in 15 of the Padres' last 21 games overall.
The Pick: Padres/A's under 8.5
