Orioles lose third straight

The Baltimore Orioles have dropped the first two games of the series, 6-3 both nights, and have lost three straight overall. Baltimore is 24-61 overall, 13-30 on the road and 43-37 with the over. Baltimore has John Means getting the start today. He is 7-4 on the season with a 2.50 ERA.

Baltimore trailed all of the game and put up a few runs in the ninth on Tuesday to make the game look more competitive than it was. The Orioles had six hits for the game with nobody getting more than one. Chris Davis and Chance Sisco each homered to lead Baltimore at the plate. Asher Wojciechowski took the loss by allowing four runs over 5.1 innings.

Rays win fourth straight

The Tampa Bay Rays are on a four-game win streak right now following the two 6-3 wins over the Orioles this week.. The Rays are 50-36 on the season, 24-19 at home and 44-34 with the under. Tampa has Ryne Stanek on the mound today. He is 0-1 on the season with a 2.64 ERA.

Charlie Morton got his ninth win of the year on Tuesday by throwing seven innings and allowing just one run with 12 strikeouts. Brandon Lowe had three hits and two RBI, including his 16th home run of the season, to lead the Rays at the plate. Tommy Pham and Avisail Garcia each had two RBI in the win as well.

MLB Betting Trends

The Orioles are 20-63 in their last 83 road games and 16-46 in their last 62 games against AL East opponents.

The Rays have won four straight home games and five of Stanek’s last six Wednesday starts.

Stanek just got the start on Monday against Baltimore and threw two scoreless to get Tampa started in the win. The Orioles have gone back to struggling at the plate after putting up a pair of 13-run games against the Indians this past weekend. Means hasn’t been too bad for Baltimore, but he isn’t getting deep into games. He has seen the bullpen blow a lot of his chances at wins. I think the same will happen again today, as Baltimore just doesn’t have the consistent hitting or bullpen to win games regularly.

MLB Prediction: Tampa Bay Rays -205
