Angels vs. Rangers Prediction
The Los Angeles Angels suffered a tragic and shocking loss in their baseball family yesterday as pitcher Tyler Skaggs was found dead in his hotel room, leading to the postponement of Monday's game at the Texas Rangers. Can LA focus enough on baseball today to get the win under the challenging circumstances?

Shohei Ohtani paced the Angels offense as he finished 2-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs. Tommy La Stella went 3-for-4 with a walk and a run scored. Kole Calhoun ended the contest 1-for-4 with an RBI. Andrew Heaney suffered the loss as he allowed five earned runs on six hits with eight strikeouts and one walk over six innings. Rangers fall for second straight day
Texas lost by a count of 6-2 at Tampa Bay Sunday afternoon for its second consecutive loss in the series. Joey Gallo paced the Rangers offensively as he went 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBIs. Elvis Andrus was 2-for-4 with a run scored. No one else in the Texas lineup recorded a hit or drew a walk. Jesse Chavez picked up the win as he allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits with eight strikeouts and no walks over six innings. MLB Betting Trends
The Angels are 5-1 in their last six series openers. Los Angeles is 4-1 in its last five Tuesday games.
The Rangers are 6-2 in their last eight games overall. Texas is 5-0 in the last five Minor starts.
I can't imagine playing a baseball game one day after a teammate and friend died. While the game could still be postponed, as of this writing it is scheduled to happen. While the Angels might have motivation to win one for their fallen teammate, the fact is the Rangers have the better pitcher going tonight and have played well at home this season. Look for Texas to get it done in front of the home fans, who will be paying their respects to the beloved Skaggs throughout the game.
