Rockies’ Anderson allows four runs in loss to Marlins
Tyler Anderson surrendered four runs in six-plus innings and was charged with a loss to the Marlins on Saturday. He served up a solo shot to Derek Dietrich in the first inning but that was all the damage he incurred through six frames. He was sent back out for the seventh though and allowed three consecutive singles and another run without getting an out before being relieved. Both of the runners he bequeathed to reliever Brian Shaw ended up scoring on a J.T. Realmuto grand slam, quickly turning a good start into a bad one for Anderson and his fantasy owners. He falls to 4-3 with a 4.62 ERA after 16 starts.
Dodgers’ Hilly only goes five vs. Mets in last start
Rich Hill lasted just five innings Sunday, getting charged with four runs and taking a no-decision in the Dodgers’ 8-7 win over the Mets in extra innings. Hill issued just one walk and struck out five batters, but four of the five hits he gave up went for extra bases, including a two-run home run by Asdrubal Cabrera. He also hit three batters. The left-hander didn’t give up any extra-base knocks in his first start back from the disabled list last week against the Cubs. Hill will take on the Rockies at home the next time out.
