Atlanta Braves DFS SPIN
Marcell Ozuna broke a scoreless tie with an RBI single in the sixth inning on Sunday night, but it wouldn’t be enough to lead the Braves past the Dodgers. Ozuna punched a 2-1 offering from Tony Gonsolin into center field, scoring Travis d’Arnaud from third base. It would be his only hit in the ballgame. With his 1-for-4 effort, Ozuna is now hitting .227/.279/.414 with 14 homers and 32 RBI on the season.
Philadelphia Phillies DFS SPIN
Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Bryce Harper is likely to need surgery on his fractured left thumb. The hope, though, is that he will make it back later this season, perhaps before the end of August in a best-case scenario. Harper suffered the unfortunate injury on Saturday when he was hit by a Blake Snell fastball. Harper, of course, has also dealt with a partially torn UCL in his right elbow which has limited him to designated hitter duties since mid-April. If there’s a silver lining, it’s that the time off will help the elbow heal.
Braves vs. Phillies MLB BETTING PREDICTION
The Braves are just 4-10 in their last 14 games at Citizens Bank Park and have dropped 10 of their last 14 games when facing a starter with a WHIP less than 1.15. The Phillies, meanwhile, are 9-1 in their last 10 games versus an opponent with a winning record, are 12-2 in their last 14 games versus a team with a right-handed starter and are 5-1 in their last six games when facing an opponent from the National League East.
