Los Angeles Dodgers Fantasy Spin
Chris Taylor finished 4-for-5 with an RBI single and two runs scored in Thursday’s wild win over the Rockies. Taylor had four of the Dodgers’ 17 hits on the evening, and between the two teams they scored a combined 20 runs on 33 hits. Taylor’s one run driven in was the biggest of the night, a go-ahead RBI single in the ninth inning to give the Dodgers a lead again, this one that they wouldn’t relinquish. Taylor had a rough April but has really come on in the past two months, batting .313 with four homers, 19 RBI and 14 runs scored in June. Through Thursday, the 28-year-old is batting .265/.329/.471 overall while working his way back into an everyday role with the club.
Colorado Rockies Fantasy Spin
Raimel Tapia went 4-for-5 with an RBI double in a loss to the Dodgers on Thursday. Tapia notched three singles to go with his run-scoring double in the third inning that gave the Rockies a fleeting lead. The four-hit game was his first of the year, and his first multi-hit game in nearly two weeks. After hitting well in mid-April and earning more playing time with strong numbers in May, he’s cooled considerably in June, batting .212/.235/.333 this month prior to Thursday’s contest. He’s taken a seat more often as a result, despite a still useful .271/.309/.458 line in 76 games overall.
