Los Angeles Dodgers Fantasy Spin
Cody Bellinger socked his 26th homer Wednesday in a loss to the Diamondbacks. Bellinger, who walked and scored in his first encounter with D’Backs starter Taylor Clarke, gave the rookie a free lesson by unloading a 427-foot moon beam to center in the fourth inning. The 23-year-old already has more homers in 2019 than he did in 162 games last season. There’s a long way to go, but right now, Bellinger is neck-and-neck with Milwaukee’s Christian Yelich in the NL MVP race.
Colorado Rockies Fantasy Spin
David Dahl went 2-for-4 with a grand slam and five RBI on Wednesday in a 6-3 win over the Giants. Dahl’s grand slam came in the third inning off of Jeff Samardzija, the 10th homer of the season for the outfielder. He drove in his fifth run of the day — and 45th RBI of the year — with an RBI single to score Garrett Hampson in the seventh. Dahl is now slashing .320/.369/.541, and he’s been one of the best fantasy outfielders in baseball in 2019.
MLB Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The Dodgers are 5-1 in Walker Buehler’s last six starts.
Colorado
The Rockies have won 16 of their last 21 games at home.
Prediction:
The under is a near-perfect 5-0-1 in Buehler’s last six starts versus the Rockies, is 12-3-1 in his last 16 outings versus the rest of the National League West and is 14-5-2 in his last 21 starts versus an opponent with a winning record. The under is also 5-2-1 in the Dodgers’ last eight games when playing the first game of a series and is 6-1 in the Rockies’ last seven series openers as well.
