Zack Britton was removed from Friday's game against the Red Sox after injuring his hamstring. Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters after the game that they'll know more about the severity and how long Britton may be sidelined on Saturday. If he's forced to head back to the injured list, it would be a tough blow for the Yankees bullpen that just got the left-hander back a couple of weeks ago.

Nathan Eovaldi allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits and one walk with four strikeouts over four innings in a loss against the Royals on Sunday. Eovaldi struggled to go deep into this one as he was done at 87 pitches through four innings. He allowed a leadoff double to Adalberto Mondesi in the second inning and single to Hunter Dozier to put runners on the corners before a fielding error allowed Mondesi to score. Four hits and a walk in the third inning would score three more runs for the Royals. Eovaldi tossed one more scoreless inning before his day was done. The 31-year-old right-hander has posted a 3.90 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and 78 strikeouts over 83 innings on the year. He's in line for a matchup against the Yankees in Boston his next time out.
