Boston blew a six-run advantage Saturday in an 8-7 home defeat against Toronto to drop to 42-36 overall and 18-18 at home. Christian Vazquez helped lead the Red Sox offense as he went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and two runs. Andrew Benintendi finished 2-for-5 with two doubles and two runs. MLB Betting Trends
The Blue Jays are 17-37 in their last 54 games overall. Toronto is 5-13 in the last 18 Stroman starts.
The Red Sox are 8-2 in their last 10 games overall. Boston is 8-3 in the last 11 Porcello home starts.
Boston faltered badly yesterday and now face a groundball machine in Stroman. With Porcello facing a lineup that should also have a tougher time to score than Saturday, I'm going to focus more on the total in this game. I like the under with both starting pitchers frustrating opposing batters enough to keep the game relatively low-scoring.
