Dodgers vs. Mets Saturday Prediction
Clayton Kershaw returns to the hill on Saturday night when the Dodgers visit the Mets at 7:15 p.m. ET. That said, the Mets will send their ace to the hill in Jacob deGrom and could provide bettors with some value as an underdog.

Dodgers’ Kershaw returning Saturday to face Mets
Clayton Kershaw (back) will return to the Dodgers’ rotation Saturday against the Mets. Kershaw had been scheduled to make a minor league rehab start Saturday for Triple-A Oklahoma City, but that team is playing a weekend series in Omaha, where there is heavy rain in the forecast. The ace left-hander will instead jump right back into major league action, with a pretty favorable matchup versus the free-falling Mets. Kershaw has been limited to 49 innings this season due to back and biceps issues. When healthy, he has delivered a 2.76 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and 53/11 K/BB ratio.
Mets’ deGrom throws eight strong in win vs. Rockies
Jacob deGrom allowed two runs — one earned — over eight innings in a rout of the Rockies on Monday. deGrom scattered five hits, and he walked just one while striking out seven. Another sterling effort from the National League ERA leader, who sees that number drop to 1.51 with this strong outing. Amazingly, despite his remarkable numbers, this is just the fifth win on the season, as he’s struggled with bullpen issues and run support. He didn’t have an issue with either tonight. deGrom will make his next start on Saturday against the Dodgers.
MLB Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The Dodgers have won 23 of their last 32 games and are 11-3 in their last 14 road games.
New York
The Mets are 16-36 in their last 52 games overall and are 7-20 in their last 27 home games.
Prediction:
Kershaw is one of the most talented pitchers when healthy but there are fewer assurances with him coming off the disabled list than there are with deGrom, who has been filthy. Granted, the Mets usually don’t score for deGrom and their bullpen has blown a couple of wins for him as well. Still, given their plus odds, I like New York to pull off the upset tonight.
The Pick: New York Mets +110
