Colorado Rockies Fantasy Spin
Nolan Arenado went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in the Rockies’ loss to the Dodgers on Friday. Arenado belted a solo homer — his 19th long ball of the year — off Dodgers starter Walker Buehler in the fourth inning. The Rockies simply had nothing going against the 24-year-old fireballer, who held them to three hits combined and struck out 16 over nine innings. The 28-year-old slugger owns a sublime .326/.387/.595 triple-slash line with 57 runs scored, 61 RBI and two stolen bases across 326 plate appearances.
Los Angeles Dodgers Fantasy Spin
Cody Bellinger went 1-for-4 with a solo homer Dodgers’ win over the Rockies on Friday. Bellinger clobbered a mammoth 406-foot blast — his 25th round-tripper of the season — to center field off Rockies starter German Marquez in the fourth inning. It was his lone hit of the contest. The 23-year-old slugger has gone deep five times in his last nine games, dating back to June 13. He owns a surreal .356/.451/.712 triple-slash line with 60 runs scored, 61 RBI and eight stolen bases across 315 plate appearances.
MLB Betting Trends
Colorado
The Rockies are 17-8 in their last 25 games overall.
Los Angeles
The Dodgers are 40-12 in their last 52 home games.
Prediction:
The Dodgers are 1-4 in Hyun-Jin Ryu’s last five starts versus the Rockies, who are 4-0 in their last four games following a loss. They’re also 10-3 in their last 13 divisional games, are 6-2 in their last eight games versus an opponent with a winning record and are 12-2 in their last 14 games versus an opponent with a WHIP less than 1.15. While their moneyline odds are intriguing, I’m going to play it safe and take Colorado on the runline given the value in those odds.
Saturday MLB Prediction: Colorado Rockies +1.5 (+110)
