Reds win sixth in a row

Cincinnati scored early and often Friday night in an 11-7 win at Milwaukee to improve to 36-38 overall and 17-21 on the road. Jose Iglesias helped lead the Reds offense as he finished 4-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs. Nick Senzel went 2-for-3 with a solo home run. Yasiel Puig ended the contest 1-for-4 with a home run, a walk and three RBIs. David Hernandez picked up the win in relief as he gave up one hit with one strikeout and no walks in 1 2/3 innings of scoreless baseball. Luis Castillo gets the start today for Cincinnati as he enters with a 7-1 record, 2.26 ERA and 1.11 WHIP with 103 strikeouts over 87 2/3 innings.

Yelich homers in defeat

Milwaukee lost 11-7 at home Friday night versus Cincinnati to drop to 40-36 overall and 22-15 at home. Christian Yelich helped pace the Brewers offense as he ended the night 2-for-5 with a home run, a double, two runs and three RBIs. Lorenzo Cain went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run. Eric Thames ended the game 2-for-3 with two walks and two RBIs. Chase Anderson took the loss as he surrendered six earned runs on five hits over five innings, striking out six and walking two. Jhoulys Chacin draws the start today for the Brewers as he comes in with a 3-8 record, 5.60 ERA and 1.52 WHIP with 51 strikeouts over 62 2/3 innings.

MLB Betting Trends

Baltimore has shown itself to be the better team at the plate in this series and I think the Orioles have the edge on the mound today as well. Hellickson seems to be settling in nicely with Baltimore and can produce another good start against a lackluster Oakland offense. The Baltimore hitters should be able to get to Graveman, who has looked really rough in recent starts.
