Diamondbacks vs. Rockies Prediction
Will today’s matchup between the Diamondbacks and Rockies turn into a pitcher’s duel at 3:10PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Rockies are -110 money line favorites versus the Diamondbacks, who have odds of +100 to pull off the small upset. With Zack Godley set to face Antonio Senzatela in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 11.5 runs.

From Rotoworld: Godley surrendered one run in 5 2/3 innings but had to settle for a no-decision against the Phillies on Saturday. He was unscored-upon through five innings before allowing a run on a sacrifice fly hit by catcher Andrew Knapp in the sixth. He struck out eight batters against three walks and five base hits. Only one of those hits went for extra bases and it was just a double. Godley had a 6.39 ERA in 74 2/3 innings with the Diamondbacks last year as a rookie, but has improved by leaps and bounds this year. He has a 2.34 ERA with 44 strikeouts and 16 walks in 50 innings spread over eight starts in 2017.
Senzatela was dinged for five earned runs, six hits and a walk while striking out six batters in a victory on Friday against San Francisco. Senzatela wasn’t at his best Friday, serving up a season-high three home runs, but he was still good enough to pick up his ninth win across 11 decisions. The Rockies provided him with plenty of offense as he improved to 7-1 over eight home starts. Senzatela has a 3.68 ERA with a .242 opponent batting average across 51 1/3 innings at Coors Field this season.
Bet Today’s Diamondbacks vs. Rockies Game
OUR PREDICTION: The under has cashed in five of the last six meetings between these two teams and is 4-1 in the last five meetings in Colorado. The under is also 4-1 in Godley’s last five starts, is 33-15-1 in the Diamondbacks’ last 49 road games, and has cashed in five of their last six games after allowing five runs or more in their previous game. After these two teams combined to score 21 runs on Wednesday (17 of which came from Arizona), I like this matchup to fall under the total given the pitching matchup.
THURSDAY MLB PREDICTION: DIAMONDBACKS/ROCKIES UNDER 11.5
