Houston Astros Fantasy Spin
Yordan Alvarez went 2-for-5 and slugged a solo home run in a loss to the Yankees on Thursday. He punished a Tommy Kahnle pitch in the sixth inning. He also doubled in the ballgame. The 21-year-old rookie is mashing to the tune of .343/.439/.829 with five home runs and 11 RBI through his first nine games in the majors. The Astros already trust him to hit in the heart of their lineup — he was in the cleanup slot tonight.
New York Yankees Fantasy Spin
Giancarlo Stanton went 3-for-5 and scored two runs in a 10-6 win over the Astros on Thursday. He doubled in the fourth inning and scored on a three-run homer by Gleyber Torres. He got to ride home on a homer again in the seventh, this time it was Edwin Encarnacion who struck the blow. This was just the fifth game of the season for Stanton, who missed about 70 games with a variety of injuries. He is 5-for-17 on the season and has yet to hit a home run. They are coming though — in bunches.

Prediction:
The over is 6-2-1 in the last nine meetings between these two teams in the Bronx and is 4-1-1 in the last six meetings overall. The over is also 7-1 in Peacock’s last eight starts versus opponents from the American League East and is 6-1 in their last seven games versus an opponent that scored five runs or more in its previous contest. On the other side, the over has cashed in nine of the previous 12 Yankees games and is 6-1 in Paxton’s last seven starts.
