Mariners vs. Yankees Prediction
After a walk-off win last night, the New York Yankees look for the home sweep this afternoon against the Seattle Mariners with ace Luis Severino on the mound. Is New York going to record another win or will Seattle prevail with a strong pitcher of its own going?

Stanton walks it off vs. M's
Giancarlo Stanton hit a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to complete a comeback for the host Yankees last night, winning 7-5 after trailing at one time 5-0. Stanton finished his night 2-for-4 with the home run and two RBIs. Aaron Judge went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI. Gary Sanchez ended his night 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs. Aroldis Chapman earned the win in relief, striking out one in an inning of work.
Gordon drives in a pair
Mariners leadoff hitter Dee Gordon finished the game 2-for-5 with two RBIs in the defeat. Kyle Seager was 1-for-2 with a double, two walks and two runs. Ryon Healy finished 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Ryan Cook suffered the loss in relief as he allowed two earned runs on two hits with one strikeout in two-thirds of an inning.
James Paxton (6-1, 3.53 ERA) starts today for Seattle, while Severino (10-2, 2.09) gets the call for the Yankees.
MLB Betting Trends
The over is 6-2 in the last eight Mariners road games and the over is 10-4-1 in the last 15 Seattle games overall.
The Yankees are 18-6 in the last 24 meetings. The under is 28-11-3 in the last 42 meetings.
Paxton is not typically a big underdog as he has the capability to shut down any offense. But with Severino starting for New York, it's not all that surprising. But the Yankees have a quick turnaround after celebrating a walk-off win. That can often lead to a letdown. I'm going to take a risk and bet on the big underdog here as it looks like a promising spot for an upset.
