St. Louis Cardinals DFS SPIN
Tyler O’Neill was removed from Sunday’s game in the ninth inning due to left hamstring tightness. Cardinals manager Oli Marmol deemed his exit precautionary. He should be considered day-to-day, but fantasy managers would be wise to monitor his status heading into Monday’s series opener against the Brewers in Milwaukee. Before leaving on Sunday, O’Neill had been 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored — and swiped his sixth base of the season.
Milwaukee Brewers DFS SPIN
Victor Caratini went 2-for-2 with a two-run homer and a walk versus the Reds on Sunday. Caratini is making a case for some DH time. He’s hitting .261/.377/.466 in 106 plate appearances, and he’s striking out a career-low 18% of the time. The Brewers have yet to use either of their catchers as a DH this season, but now that they’re being forced to add an extra position player, perhaps adding a third catcher and freeing up Caratini would be the right move.
Cardinals vs. Brewers MLB BETTING PREDICTION
The Cardinals have won six of their last eight meetings with the Brewers at American Family Field and are 7-3 in their last 10 games coming off a loss. They’re also 35-17 in their last 52 divisional games and are 36-16 in their last 52 contests after allowing five runs or more in their previous game. The Brewers, meanwhile, are 0-6 in their last six home games, are 0-6 in their last six games as a home favorite and are winless in their last five games versus a right-handed starter.
