Giants vs. Rockies Prediction
Can the Giants pull off the upset today in Denver when they take on their NL West rivals the Rockies at 3:10PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Rockies are -155 money line favorites to beat the Giants, who have odds of +145 to pull off the upset in Denver. With Ty Blach set to face Tyler Chatwood in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 11.5 runs.

From Rotoworld: Blach was tagged for seven earned runs, 10 hits and a walk while striking out four batters over 5 2/3 innings in a loss Tuesday against the Royals. Blach was humming along in place of the injured Madison Bumgarner (shoulder, ribs) through June 2, going 4-2 with a 3.24 ERA. However, he has shown some chinks in the armor over his past two outings, going 0-2 with a 9.26 ERA with 19 hits allowed over just 11 2/3 innings.
Chatwood pitched well in a no-decision against the Pirates on Tuesday, allowing just one run on six hits over six strong innings. The right-hander walked one and punched out five on the night. He has been mighty impressive while away from Coors Field this season and Tuesday’s gem was no exception. The only blemish on his night was a solo homer off the bat of Andrew McCutchen in the fourth inning. Unfortunately for Chatwood and his fantasy owners, his next outing will come at home against the Giants on Sunday.
Bet Today’s Giants vs. Rockies Game
OUR PREDICTION: The Giants are 0-5 in their last five games, are 1-5 in their last six road games, and are 2-9 in their last 11 games when playing the fourth game of a series. That said, the Rockies have lost seven of Chatwood’s last 10 home starts and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Blach rebound for San Francisco. For all intents and purposes, he has been excellent while subbing for the injured Madison Bumgarner and his ground ball tendencies will work well today at Coors. I’m rolling the dice on a Giants team that is due.
