Milwaukee Brewers Fantasy Spin
Christian Yelich hit a solo homer and scored three runs on Saturday in the Brewers’ loss to the Giants. With the Brewers trailing by two runs, Yelich swatted a solo shot off of closer Will Smith in the top of the ninth inning. That gives the 2018 MVP 26 homers on the season, and he’s driven in 56 RBI in 64 games. He also drew a walk, his 41st of the season. Yelich is now on pace for a 60-homer, 130-RBI season with a 1.189 OPS. He’s ridiculous.
San Francisco Giants Fantasy Spin
Brandon Crawford went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored on Saturday in the Giants’ win over the Brewers. Crawford also scored a run in the winning effort. The two doubles give the shortstop eight on the year, and he’s hitting .212/.286/.324 with five homers and 19 RBI over 65 games. We expect Crawford to be better in the second half of the season, but a large part of that is because it would be hard to be worse.
MLB Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The Brewers are 5-2 in their last seven games following a loss but are winless at 0-4 in their last four games versus opponents from the National League West.
San Francisco
The Giants are 4-0 in their last four games overall and 6-2 in their last eight games versus a right-handed starter.
Prediction:
The Brewers are 5-14 in their last 19 games against the Giants in San Francisco and are 1-4 in Chase Anderson’s last five road starts versus a team with a losing record. The Gaints, meanwhile, have won five of their last seven games coming off a win and are 11-5 in Jeff Samardzija’s last 16 starts when their opponent allowed five or more runs in its previous contest.
The Pick: San Francisco Giants +130
