Colorado Rockies Fantasy Spin
Nolan Arenado went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a walk on Saturday in a loss to the Mets. Arenado drove in his 55th run over the season with an RBI single in the third inning off of Steven Matz. The superstar third baseman is now hitting .332/.383/.604 with 16 homers and two steals in three chances over 62 games and an even 250 at-bats. We think he’s pretty good.
New York Mets Fantasy Spin
Mets’ manager Mickey Callaway said after Saturday’s game that Robinson Cano may land on the injured list with his strained left quad. Cano will be re-evaluated on Sunday morning, and if he’s not ready to go it sounds like he’ll head right back to the injured list. It’s a disappointing development in what has been a very rough season overall for the 36-year-old who is hitting just .238/.284/.366 with three homers and 14 RBI.
MLB Betting Trends
Colorado
The Rockies are 10-3 in their last 13 games overall and are 4-1 in their last five games coming off a loss.
New York
The Mets have dropped four of their last five games following a win but are 12-3 in their last 15 games played at home.
Prediction:
The under is 3-0-1 in the last four meetings between these two teams at Citi Field and is 3-1-1 in the Mets’ last five home games versus a right-handed starter. On the other side, the under is 5-1-1 in the Rockies’ last seven games overall, is 3-1-1 in their last five road contests and cashed in four of Colorado’s previous five games when facing a right-handed starter.
The Pick: Rockies/Mets under 8
