The Arizona Diamondbacks were able to keep their grasp on the top spot in the NL West last night by out-slugging the host Colorado Rockies. Will Colorado exact some revenge and win game two of the series tonight?

Public Betting Information

According to oddsmakers, the Rockies are a -138 favorite to win on the moneyline. The D-backs are a +128 underdog, while the total is set at 12 runs. As of Saturday morning, 75 percent of public bets are being placed on host Colorado. Check out our MLB Public Betting Page for the latest info.

Goldschmidt continues torrid stretch

Following a three-double performance last game, Arizona first baseman Paul Goldschmidt stayed hot Saturday by going 3-for-5 with a pair of home runs plus a double for three runs and three RBIs in a 9-4 win. Jake Lamb contributed a solo home run, while David Peralta was 3-for-5 with a solo home run. Ketel Marte added a double and scored two runs. Zack Greinke allowed four runs (three earned) on eight hits with five strikeouts and two walks over 5 2/3 innings to pick up the win.

Blackmon, Story both homer

Colorado outfielder Charlie Blackmon hit a solo home run Friday night, while shortstop Trevor Story finished 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. D.J. LeMahieu contributed two hits including a double at the top of the lineup. Gerardo Parra went 2-for-4 with a double and a run. German Marquez allowed five earned runs on six hits over four innings, striking out four and walking one.

Matt Koch (4-3, 3.76 ERA) will start today for Arizona, while Colorado will turn to Chad Bettis (4-1, 4.02).

MLB Betting Trends

The Diamondbacks are 2-12 in their last 14 road games. Arizona is 8-19 in its last 27 games overall.

The over is 8-0-2 in the last 10 Rockies games. The under is 9-3 in the last 12 Colorado games on Saturday.

Coors Field can turn any game into a shootout, but Bettis knows this stadium and how to pitch in it better than Koch. The Rockies don't want to fall any further out of first, so I think they come out with fire and take care of business today.
