White Sox lose third straight
Chicago has dropped three straight games following a 6-4 loss at Kansas City on Friday night. The White Sox are 29-33 on the season, 12-19 on the road and 32-29 with the under. Chicago has Lucas Giolito on the mound today. He is 8-1 on the season with a 2.54 ERA.
The White Sox weren’t able to get the big hits on Friday, as they left seven on base despite having 10 hits. Ivan Nova pitched 5.1 innings and allowed four runs while Jace Fry gave up two runs over just 0.2 innings of work to take the loss. At the plate, James McCann had two hits and two RBI while Yoan Moncada had another two hits.
Royals end losing streak
Kansas City had its six-game losing streak come to an end on Friday in the win over the White Sox. The Royals are 20-43 on the season, 12-20 at home and 32-27 with the over. KC has Brad Keller on the mound today. He is 3-7 on the season with a 4.50 ERA.
Homer Bailey pitched six innings on Friday night, allowing three runs for a no decision. Brad Boxberger got his first win despite blowing a save while Ian Kennedy got his fourth save of the season with a scoreless ninth. Adalberto Mondesi had three hits with two RBI and scored two runs in the win while Whit Merrifield had two hits and scored twice as well. Cheslor Cuthbert also drove in two runs.
MLB Betting Trends
Chicago
The White Sox are 7-19 in their last 26 Saturday games and they have lost six road games.
Kansas City
The Royals are just 1-8 in their last nine games following a win and 2-7 in their last nine home games.
Prediction:
Giolito has been really solid for the White Sox and Chicago has won his last seven starts and he has won his last seven decisions. He has gotten through seven innings in five of his last six starts as well. Keller has given up multiple runs in nine straight starts. He struggles a lot with walks and has had more walks than strikeouts throughout the season. Despite Chicago’s recent struggles and Kansas City’s win on Friday, I think Giolito will be able to roll to another win today.
MLB Prediction: Chicago White Sox -140
