Despite the defeat by eight runs, Cardinals first baseman Jose Martinez did his best to keep his team in the game by going 3-for-3 at the dish with a double and a walk plus two RBIs. Tommy Pham was 2-for-4 with a run. Jack Flaherty suffered the loss as he gave up six runs (four earned) on eight hits with six strikeouts and one walk.

Prediction:
There is no way the Cardinals get swept at home by the Marlins, right? Once again St. Louis sends the better starting pitcher to the mound, will be equipped with the better lineup and will be at home. I’m going to take the heavy favorites once again hope for the best. It’s hard to trust Miami even after the last two performances.
