San Francisco Giants Fantasy Spin
Giants placed C Buster Posey on the 10-day injured list retroactive to June 2 with a right hamstring strain. Posey has been dealing with the hamstring strain since Saturday, and the Giants have decided to give the backstop some rest rather than push him through it Stephen Vogt should get the majority of the starts behind the plate while Posey is on the injured list, with Aramis Garcia also getting some action. It doesn't sound like this is going to be a long-term injury, so we should see him back in the lineup in the middle of June.
New York Mets Fantasy Spin
Mets activated 2B Robinson Cano from the 10-day injured list. Cano will start at second base and bat third on Wednesday night against the Giants after missing a little under two weeks with a left quad strain. Maybe the time off will serve as a kind of reset for Cano, who is batting just .241/.287/.371 with three home runs and 13 RBI through 45 games this season.
MLB Betting Trends
The over is 9-3-2 in the last 14 meetings between these two teams in New York.
