Goldschmidt, Peralta homer in win

Arizona didn't hit six home runs for a second straight day like it did Friday night when it tied a franchise record for long balls in a game. But the D-backs did get a couple big homers in a 6-2 victory Saturday as both Paul Goldschmidt and David Peralta left the yard. Goldschmidt scored two runs in the contest. while Peralta drove in two and also drew a walk. Nick Ahmed added a double and scored a run. The offense backed a strong start from Zack Greinke, who allowed one earned run on seven hits with six strikeouts and a walk over 6 2/3 innings.

Castro leads offense in defeat

Marlins second baseman Starlin Castro doubled twice and scored a run from the leadoff spot in Saturday's loss. Brian Anderson finished 2-for-3 with a triple, a walk and an RBI. Lewis Brinson added a pinch-hit solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to account for the other Miami run. Caleb Smith took the loss on the mound as he gave up five earned runs on five hits with five strikeouts and two walks over four innings of work.

Dan Straily (2-1, 3.69 ERA) starts today for the Marlins, while Arizona turns to Matt Koch (3-3, 4.31).

MLB Betting Trends

The Marlins are 4-10 in their last 14 Sunday games. Miami is 17-35 in its last 52 road games.

The under is 7-3 in Koch's last 10 starts overall. The Diamondbacks are 2-8 in thelr last 10 games versus the NL East.

Straily is Miami's most consistent starter and I expect he'll give a strong effort today to help tame an Arizona offense that has been in good form the last two games. While the Marlins offense is weak, Koch is hittable and as long as the visitors can find a couple innings where they can put up multiple runs, they should be in good shape today to avoid being swept.
