The Baltimore Orioles could not must much offense in the first game of the series last night against the New York Yankees following Thursday’s rainout. Will Baltimore be able to flip the script tonight as the home underdog?

Gray in good form to lead Yankees
It’s been a struggle this season for New York starter Sonny Gray, but he was strong Friday night to help his squad to a 4-1 and for under bettors to cash in. He surrendered only one earned run over six innings, giving up four hits while striking out six and walking none. His ERA lowered to 5.55. Aroldis Chapman struck out the side in the ninth to pick up his 13th save. Brett Gardner finished 2-for-5 and scored a run. Aaron Hicks had two doubles in four at-bats, while Andrew Romine was 2-for-3 with a double plus a walk and an RBI. Gleyber Torres went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Aaron Judge added a solo home run in the seventh for the final Yankees run.
Machado accounts for lone run
Baltimore shortstop Manny Machado hit a solo home run in the bottom of the first inning off Gray that staked the hosts to an early 1-0 advantage. Machado finished 2-for-4 with his 17th homer of the season plus a walk. Jonathan Schoop and Trey Mancini each had a double in the contest. Andrew Cashner suffered the loss, allowing three earned runs on nine hits with four strikeouts and a walk over six innings.
Masahiro Tanaka (6-2, 4.62 ERA) starts today for the Yankees, while the O’s will turn to Kevin Gausman (3-4, 4.31).
MLB Betting Trends
New York
The Yankees are 11-4 in their last 15 road games. New York is 36-17 in its last 53 games overall.
Baltimore
The Orioles are 21-59 in their last 80 games overall. Baltimore is 8-21 in its last 29 Saturday games.
Prediction:
We all know the Orioles have been quite bad for a long while now, but they are slightly better at home with a 10-17 mark compared to 7-23 on the road. Gausman is capable of dominating a game when he is on, while Tanaka can be prone to the occasional implosion. I think you could do a lot worse than taking a shot at Baltimore as a big home underdog here.
