Keston Hiura paced the Brewers offense as he finished 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. Jesus Aguilar went 1-for-3 with a solo home run plus a walk. Mike Moustakas finished 1-for-4 plus a run scored. Jhoulys Chacin suffered the loss as he allowed seven earned runs on six hits with two strikeouts and four walks over 2 2/3 innings. Brandon Woodruff will start today for Milwaukee as he enters with a 7-1 record, 3.22 ERA and 1.09 WHIP with 75 strikeouts over 64 1/3 innings.

Pirates roll to home win

Pittsburgh picked up a 9-4 home victory Friday night over Milwaukee to improve to 28-28 overall and 11-15 at home. Starling Marte helped pace the Pirates offense as he went 3-for-5 with three runs and an RBI. Kevin Newman finished 2-for-5 with a run and two RBI. Colin Moran was 2-for-4 with a walk, a run and two RBIs. Josh Bell ended the night 2-for-5 with an RBI. Bryan Reynolds went 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs. Chris Archer picked up the win as he allowed four earned runs on five hits with seven strikeouts and two walks over seven innings. Nick Kingham will start tonight for Pittsburgh as he comes in with a 1-1 record, 8.28 ERA and 1.94 WHIP with 28 strikeouts over 29 1/3 innings.

MLB Betting Trends

The Brewers are 5-1 in their last six during game three of a series. Milwaukee is 13-3 in the last 16 Woodruff starts.

The Pirates are 1-4 in their last five home games. Pittsburgh is 2-6 in the last eight Kingham starts.

Woodruff has really come into his own as a starting pitcher over the last month-plus and is coming off a fantastic start against the Phillies. This will be a reasonably tough test, but if he can navigate around the likes of Bell and Marte he should be in good shape. Meanwhile, Kingham has had a rough go of it much of his time at the MLB level. Taking Milwaukee seems like the only right choice here.
