Chicago Cubs Fantasy Spin
Kris Bryant went 1-for-5 with a single and two strikeouts Friday against the Cardinals. And yes, he heard some boos for calling St. Louis “boring” over the winter. Bryant was eased back into action as the designated hitter on Wednesday after missing time with a head/neck injury, but he apparently responded well enough to play the field again.
St. Louis Cardinals Fantasy Spin
Matt Wieters went 0-for-4 in Friday’s win over the Cubs. Wieters batted fifth against the right-hander Yu Darvish and he should pick up plenty of at-bats behind the plate with Yadier Molina sidelined due to a right thumb tendon strain. Andrew Knizner was added to the active roster on Friday and will also be in the mix. Wieters is worth a look as a second catcher in mixed leagues, but Knizner warrants watching for the long-term.

Prediction:
Despite losing last night, the Cubs are still 4-1 in their last five games against the Cardinals and have won 13 of their last 18 games following a loss. The Cardinals, meanwhile, are 8-18 in their last 26 games overall, are 2-5 in their last seven home games versus a left-handed starter and are 0-6 in Flaherty’s last six starts following a Quality Start in his last appearance.
The Pick: Chicago Cubs +115
