Twins vs. Rays Prediction
The Minnesota Twins lost by 11 runs last night, but still have the best record in baseball heading into tonight’s contest at the Tampa Bay Rays. Can Minnesota even the series at a game apiece with a win tonight?

Twins pounded into submission
Minnesota lost by a count of 14-3 Thursday night in its series opener at Tampa Bay to fall to 37-18 overall and 18-9 on the road. Ehire Adrianza paced the offense as he finished 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Luis Arraez was 1-for-4 with a double and a run. Byron Buxton went 1-for-3 with a triple, a run and an RBI. Jason Castro ended the game 2-for-3. Martin Perez took the loss as he surrendered six earned runs on six hits with three strikeouts and two walks over 2 2/3 innings. Jose Berrios will start tonight for the Twins as he comes in with a 7-2 record, 3.20 ERA and 1.15 ERA with 64 strikeouts over 70 1/3 innings.
Rays win sixth straight
Tampa Bay cruised to a 14-3 victory Thursday night at home over Minnesota to improve to 35-19 overall and 17-11 at home. Everyone who received an at-bat for the Rays had at least one hit with Austin Meadows helping to lead the way as he was 2-for-5 with a double, two runs and four RBIs. Avisail Garcia finished 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, three runs and an RBI. Ji-Man Choi was 1-for-2 off the bench with a home run and two RBIs. Brandon Lowe ended the contest 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs. Charlie Morton picked up the win as he allowed two earned runs on four hits with six strikeouts and no walks over seven innings. Ryne Stanek is expected to be the opener for Tampa Bay tonight as he enters with an 0-1 record, 2.97 ERA and 1.05 WHIP with 32 strikeouts over 30 1/3 innings.
MLB Betting Trends
Minnesota
The Twins are 5-0 in their last five during game two of a series. Minnesota is 7-1 in the last eight Berrios starts.
Tampa Bay
The Rays are 55-25 in their last 80 games overall. Tampa Bay is 1-4 in its last five Friday games.
Prediction:
Jalen Beeks is slated to be the bulk starter for the Rays tonight and he’s been solid as of late, but Berrios has also started to fulfill his hype this season and will make life tough on the Rays. While Tampa Bay has a very good offense, after scoring 14 last night there could be an evening out of the numbers type game tonight. I would be surprised if Tampa Bay scores three or less runs, while should put Berrios and the Twins offense in the driver’s seat to post a win.
