St. Louis Cardinals Fantasy Spin
Matt Wieters drew a rare start and went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in a lopsided loss to the Phillies on Wednesday. He cracked a solo tater off Aaron Nola in the fourth inning, then added an RBI-double in the eighth. Wieters is serving as the rarely-used backup to Yadier Molina in his first season with the Cardinals. Wieters has a .370 batting average with two longballs in 30 plate appearances.
Philadelphia Phillies Fantasy Spin
Bryce Harper went 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBI and two runs scored in an 11-4 thumping of the Cardinals on Wednesday. He had to leave the game in the fifth inning after fouling a ball off his foot. Harper said his exit was precautionary, with the lopsided score making it unnecessary for him to remain in the game. It wouldn't be a surprise to see him get the day off on Thursday. He cranked a two-run shot off rookie starter Genesis Cabrera in the third inning and later added a two-run double in the fourth. Harper has a .243 batting average with 10 home runs, 40 RBI and 33 runs scored in 55 games.
