Los Angeles Angels Fantasy Spin
Hansel Robles fell apart in the ninth inning Wednesday, allowing three hits and two runs in a blown save versus Oakland. Robles got off to the worst start imaginable, serving up a leadoff homer to Mark Canha. That trimmed the Angels’ lead to 7-6. Robles continued to implode after that, yielding hits to Jurickson Profar and Ramon Laureano, all with no outs. Profar would later score on a Josh Phegley sac fly, tying the game at seven. The right-hander has now blown two of his last three save chances with a 10.80 ERA during that span. The Halos may have to reevaluate their ninth-inning plan if his struggles persist.
Seattle Mariners Fantasy Spin
Mallex Smith reached three times Wednesday in the Mariners’ loss to Texas. He delivered two singles, a walk and a stolen base in the losing effort. Smith was demoted last month after getting off to a miserable start but it seems that spell in the minors did him some good as the speedy 26-year-old has broken out for seven hits and five steals over his last three contests. Even with all that missed time, he’s still tied for third in the majors with 13 thefts.
MLB Betting Trends

Prediction:
The over is a perfect 5-0 in Tyler Skaggs’ last five starts versus the Mariners and is 4-0 in his last four outings on the road versus Seattle. The over is also 9-1-1 in Kikuchi’s last 11 starts, is 4-0-1 in his last five outings at home and is 23-11-1 in the Mariners’ last 35 games. Finally, the over has cashed in four of Seattle’s last five contests at home and is a perfect 4-0 in the Angels’ last four road games.
The Pick: Angels/Mariners over 8.5
