Maeda shuts down Rockies
Colorado got the first win at the Dodgers earlier this week, but LA rebounded to win two straight and take the series. Wednesday’s finale saw Kenta Maeda lead the way to a 3-0 victory as he threw 6 2/3 shutout innings. Maeda allowed two hits while striking out 12 and walking four. Kenley Jansen closed it out with his 10th save. Justin Turner helped pace the offense by going 2-for-4 with a run. Logan Forsythe contributed an RBI double, while Yasiel Puig had an RBI single. Enrique Hernandez added a hit and a run.
Padres down Nats in series finale
San Diego comes into this series with a win after toppling host Washington by a count of 3-1 on Wednesday. The Padres had previously lost the first two games in the series. Tyson Ross gave up one earned run on five hits with nine strikeouts and one walk over 6 1/3 innings. Brad Hand threw the final 1 2/3 innings for his 15th save. Freddy Galvis had two doubles and scored a run to lead the offense. Eric Hosmer also went 2-for-4 with a run. Christian Villanueva had a hit and two RBIs. Manuel Margot added an RBI single.

MLB Betting Trends
San Diego
The Padres are 29-61 in the last 90 meetings. The over is 20-7-2 in the last 29 meetings.
Los Angeles
The Dodgers are 3-8 in their last 11 games. Los Angeles is 3-8 in the last 11 Stripling starts.
Prediction:
Los Angeles has played well in spurts lately and might be ready to put it all together, although it can’t be a finished product with Corey Seager out for the season unless it makes a big trade. The Dodgers should continue to make positive progress tonight as Stripling will get to navigate through an underwhelming Padres offense in a pitcher’s park. Meanwhile, Richard is rarely trusted and LA has a number of right-handed bats who should take advantage. Bet on the Dodgers here.
