Yankees putting up runs

The Yankees picked up an 11-4 victory at Baltimore last night for their third straight win. They have scored 34 runs over the three games. New York is 30-17 on the season, 13-7 on the road and 25-21 with the over. CC Sabathia will be taking the mound for New York tonight. He is 2-1 on the season with a 2.97 ERA.

The Yankees put up three runs in the first inning and held a 9-0 lead before Baltimore put up any runs. Gary Sanchez drove in four runs and had his 14th home run of the season while Clint Frazier had two home runs and drove in five runs. Domingo German got his ninth win of the season thanks to all the run support. He pitched five innings and allowed two earned runs and had five strikeouts. David Hale then pitched a four-inning save.

Orioles fall again

Baltimore dropped its fourth straight game on Tuesday in the 11-4 loss. The Orioles have lost seven of their last eight games. The Orioles are now 15-33 on the season, 6-17 at home and 23-23 with the over/under total. Baltimore has Dan Straily on the mound tonight. He is 1-3 on the season with an 8.51 ERA.

The Orioles were never in the game on Tuesday. David Hess fell to 1-6 on the season after allowing nine earned runs over five innings. He gave up eight hits and walked four. Stevie Wilkerson drove in three of the four runs for Baltimore while Hanser Alberto drove in the other run.

MLB Betting Trends

New York

The Yankees are 4-1 in their last five road games and 20-6 in their last 26 games against a right-handed starter.

Baltimore

The Orioles are 48-118 in their last 166 games following a loss and 24-58 in their last 82 home games.

Prediction:

The Yankees are pounding the ball right now and that should continue against Straily, who has given up 15 earned runs over his last 12 innings on the mound. Baltimore has lost seven of his eight appearances this year, six of which have come by multiple runs. Sabathia doesn’t get deep into games, but he has pitched pretty well. He also has a rested bullpen behind him tonight. I think New York will continue to dominate Baltimore.

MLB Prediction: New York Yankees -1.5 (-160)
