Minnesota Twins Fantasy Spin

Jonathan Schoop went 3-for-5 with a pair of homers and five RBI to lead the Twins to an 18-4 blowout win over the Mariners on Saturday. Schoop swatted a three-run homer to left field off Mariners' reliever Parker Markel in the third inning and also belted a two-run dinger to centerfield off Ryan Garton in the sixth. It was his third multi-homer effort of the year. The Twins offense manufactured a season-high 18 runs on 19 hits in this one. The 27-year-old second baseman has been an impact four-category contributor at the shallow position, hitting .280/.321/.520 with 23 runs scored, eight homers and 24 RBI in 159 plate appearances.

Seattle Mariners Fantasy Spin

Edwin Encarnacion went 3-for-4 with an RBI in the Mariners' lopsided loss to the Twins on Saturday. There weren't a ton of bright spots for the Mariners in this one, but Encarnacion supplied three of their 10 hits combined in the blowout loss. He singled in the second and fourth innings before delivering an RBI single off Twins' starter Jose Berrios in the fifth. The 36-year-old slugger is hitting .242/.365/.490 with 30 runs scored, 12 homers and 30 RBI in 192 plate appearances.
