Cincinnati Reds Fantasy Spin
Eugenio Suarez went 2-for-5 with a solo homer and a pair of runs scored in the Reds’ win over the Giants on Saturday. Suarez hammered a majestic 429-foot moonshot to left field off Giants’ reliever Trevor Gott in the fifth inning. It was his 12th long ball of the season and his sixth in 12 games since April 30. He also doubled and came around to score the go-ahead run on an RBI single by Derek Dietrich in the seventh. The 27-year-old slugger is hitting .254/.340/.570 with 21 runs scored and 26 RBI across 162 plate appearances.
San Francisco Giants Fantasy Spin
Evan Longoria slugged a solo homer in the Giants’ loss to the Reds on Saturday. Longoria took Reds’ starter Anthony DeSclafani deep in the bottom of the first inning. It was his sixth long ball of the season and third in his last five games. He’s still not offering much in terms of on-base skills, but it’s nice to see him still hitting for some power.
MLB Betting Trends
Cincinnati
The Reds are 1-11 in Tyler Mahle’s last 12 starts and are winless at 0-8 in his last eight outings on the road.
San Francisco
The Giants are 3-7 in Bumgarner’s last 10 starts.
Prediction:
The Giants are 1-5 in Bumgarner’s last six home starts against the Reds and are 3-7 in his last 10 outings versus Cincinnati overall. The Reds have also beaten the Giants eight of the last 10 meetings between these two teams so even though San Francisco has its ace on the mound today, the Reds still offer bettors the best value in my eyes.
The Pick: Cincinnati Reds -105
