Oakland A’s DFS Spin
Matt Chapman went 3-for-4 with a run scored on Sunday against the Rays. Chapman singled in the fourth inning off of Shane McClanahan and came around to score on a base hit by Stephen Piscotty. The 28-year-old third baseman added two more hits to bring his average up to .213 on the year. He was 0-for-8 over his last two games after a nine-game hitting streak. Though it was his first multi-hit game since April 29.
Boston Red Sox DFS Spin
Marwin Gonzalez went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts as the Red Sox's leadoff hitter Monday. Red Sox manager Alex Cora hasn't been willing to move one of his quality hitters into the leadoff spot with Kiké Hernandez sidelined, so Gonzalez has started there three of the last four games. The veteran utlityman is batting a sluggish .219/.320/.315 in 122 plate appearances on the season. That he's on pace to get about 550 plate appearances this year, rather than 300-350, is not a good thing for Boston.
A’s vs. Red Sox Betting Prediction
The A’s are 1-4 in their last five games versus the Red Sox and are 19-48 in their last 67 games at Fenway Park. The Red Sox are also 4-1 in their last five games overall, are 4-1 in their last five games as a favorite and are 7-2 in their last nine games versus an opponent with a winning record. Boston is also 4-1 in its last five games as a right-handed starter.
