Royals on an upswing
The Royals are actually on their hottest streak of the season right now following three victories in four games against the Tigers. Kansas City is 11-23 overall and 5-10 on the road. KC is putting up 3.71 runs per game this year while allowing 5.41 per contest.
Danny Duffy gets the start for the Royals tonight. He has started seven games this year and is 0-4 with a 5.63 ERA and a 1.49 WHIP. Over 38.1 innings of work, Duffy has 34 strikeouts with 15 walks.
Orioles losers of six straight
Baltimore is coming off a six-game West Coast road trip in which they lost all six games to the Angels and Athletics. Baltimore is 8-26 on the season and 5-10 at home. The Orioles are scoring 3.38 runs per game this season while allowing 5.50 per contest.
Dylan Bundy is getting the start for the Orioles on Tuesday night. Through seven starts this season, he is 1-4 with a 3.76 ERA and a 1.35. Bundy has pitched 40.2 innings and he has 48 strikeouts with 11 walks.
MLB Betting Trends
The Royals are 1-6 in their last seven against AL East opponents and they are also 0-8 in Duffy’s last eight starts overall and 0-4 in his last four road starts.
The Orioles have won eight of Bundy’s last 11 starts against a team with a losing record. They also have won eight of his last nine starts after allowing two runs or less in their previous game.
Kansas City has had a little bit of success lately, but I think that will change today on the road. The Royals are facing a pretty good pitcher in Bundy. He has been one of the few bright spots on the mound for the Orioles. Duffy has not pitched well and I think he will give up some runs to the Orioles, allowing Baltimore to sneak out a victory.
The Pick: Baltimore Orioles -150
