MLB Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The Angels are 8-1 in their last nine against AL Central opponents, but just 1-7 in their last eight against a left-handed starter.
Detroit
The Tigers are 4-1 in their last five against a right-handed starter, but just 30-63 in their last 93 games following a win.
Prediction:
Canning has just one appearance this season and is wasn’t too impressive. The Angels don’t have a reliable bullpen to back him up either. Norris has been respectable, though he doesn’t get deep into games. He has allowed one run or less in four of his six appearances this year. The Tigers have the better pitching, and while their hitting is very suspect, the Angels aren’t likely to overwhelm this Detroit team on the road. I feel good about the Tigers at home as the underdog.
MLB Prediction: Detroit Tigers +125
