Aaron Sanchez allowed two runs in six innings and had to settle for a no-decision against the Red Sox on Wednesday. He served up a solo homer to Mookie Betts leading off the game, then settled down until surrendering an RBI double to Brock Holt in the fifth. Sanchez gave up just three hits on the night while fanning eight in the contest. His record holds at 1-2 with a 3.69 ERA in five starts. He has 23 strikeouts and 15 walks in 31 2/3 innings.
Twins' Lynn knocked around in loss to Yankees
Lance Lynn was knocked around for six earned runs in 3 2/3 innings and was charged with a loss to the Yankees on Wednesday. Most of the damage came in the third inning when he gave up a solo dinger to Didi Gregorius and a three-run jack to Tyler Austin. Lynn is not making any new friends in Minnesota as he falls to 0-2 with a woeful 7.71 ERA after four starts. He has a bad habit of filling the bases via the walk and then giving up longballs. the veteran has 22 strikeouts, 18 walks and six homers allowed in 18 2/3 innings.
