Brewers’ Chacin coming off back-to-back victories
After a slow start to the season, Jhoulys Chacin has rebounded of late. He’s picked up wins in back-to-back starts, including in his last outing when he allowed two runs on four hits over 5 2/3 innings of work in Kansas City. He struck out three, walked one and allowed a home run in the Brewers’ 6-2 victory over the Royals.
Reds’ Finnegan allows three runs in five innings
Brandon Finnegan allowed three runs — two earned — and took a no-decision against the Braves on Wednesday. He gave up an unearned run in the first inning then yielded an RBI-double to third baseman Johan Camargo in the third. Shortstop Ozzie Albies touched him up for a solo tater in the fifth. It was the first decent start of the year for Finnegan, who now owns an 8.03 ERA and 2.19 WHIP after three outings. He will face the Brewers on Monday.
