Diaz hit a leadoff double off Chris Sale in the top of the first inning and came around to score on a two-run homer by Daniel Robertson. The 27-year-old corner infielder then added a three-run triple in the top of the second. He’s slashing .289/.385/.600 with seven homers, 16 RBI, and 18 runs in 25 games this season and needs to be owned in all mixed fantasy leagues at this point.
Kansas City Royals Fantasy Spin
Kelvin Gutierrez went 2-for-4 with a run scored in a loss to the Angels on Sunday. The rookie had a pair of singles and scored one of the Royals’ three runs on the afternoon. Through two major league games Gutierrez has three hits in seven at-bats, driving in two runs in his debut Saturday. The 24-year-old was hitting .333/.433/.439 at Triple-A Omaha prior to his call up.
