Red Sox' Sale coming off 10-K performance vs. A's

Chris Sale allowed three earned runs, six hits and a walk with 10 strikeouts over seven innings in a loss at Oakland on Saturday. Sale suffered his first loss of the season, but he turned in a quality start and his counterpart, Sean Manaea, tossed a no-hitter.

The 10 strikeouts were also a season best for Sale. He has allowed just 22 hits with two homers and six walks while striking out 41 batters over 29 innings through five outings. The wins might not be flowing right now, but they're coming. He'll look to get back into the win column on Friday in his next scheduled start against the visiting Rays.

Blue Jays' Estrda not sharp but picks up victory

Marco Estrada was credited with a win despite allowing five runs in five innings against the Yankees on Friday. All five runs came via the longball -- a two-run shot by Tyler Austin, a two-run shot by Giancarlo Stanton and a solo bomb by Miguel Andujar.

Home runs have been Estrada's weakness throughout his career and that doesn't look to be change this year. He's already allowed six dingers in his first four starts. He moves to 2-1 with a 5.32 ERA and 1.36 WHIP.

MLB Betting Trends

The Red Sox are 5-2 in Sale's last seven starts against the rest of the American League East and are 14-5 in his last 19 outings when coming off four days of rest.

The Blue Jays are 6-2 in Estrada's last eight starts and are 4-0 in his last four home outings.

The under is 7-3 in Estrada's last 10 starts against the Red Sox, is 11-4 in the Blue Jays' last 15 divisional games, and is 20-8 when Estrada pitches the during the third game of a series. On the other side, the under is 37-16-3 in the Red Sox' last 56 games during the third game of a series.

The Pick: Red Sox/Blue Jays under 8
