Los Angeles Dodgers Fantasy Spin
Cody Bellinger went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk Wednesday against the Cubs. Bellinger was hitting sixth tonight even though he already has three homers against lefties, and sure enough, he took Cole Hamels deep for his fourth against a southpaw and 12th overall. One would think he’d be batting third or fourth against everyone right now.
Chicago Cubs Fantasy Spin
Jason Heyward hit a three-run homer off lefty reliever Scott Alexander on Wednesday. It’s Heyward’s first extra-base hit against a southpaw this year and just his third homer against a left-hander since the beginning of 2017. Heyward has looked good enough so far to deserve mixed-league consideration. Still, his upside is fairly limited for as long as the Cubs hit him at the bottom of the order.
