New York Yankees Fantasy Spin
Clint Frazier popped a three-run homer in the Yankees’ extra-innings win over the Royals on Sunday. Frazier went deep off Royals starter Jorge Lopez in the bottom of the fifth. It was his sixth home run in 17 games since being called up on April 1, and he also currently leads the Yankees in RBI with 17. The 24-year-old outfielder is batting .339 with a 1.019 OPS and needs to be owned in all standard fantasy leagues at this point.
Los Angeles Angels Fantasy Spin
Tommy La Stella blasted a pair of home runs on Sunday, powering the Angels to an 8-6 victory over the Mariners. La Stella, who served as the Angels’ designated hitter in this one, belted a solo homer off of Mike Leake in the fourth inning to increase the Angels’ edge to 3-1. He added on a valuable insurance run with another solo blast in the eighth that made it a 7-1 game, but proved to be the difference-maker. The 30-year-old has already eclipsed his previous career high in home runs and is well on his way to having a career year for the Angels. With his 2-for-3 effort on Sunday, he’s hitting .246/.348/.579 with six long balls and 12 RBI.
MLB Betting Trends
New York
The Yankees are 5-1 in their last six meetings with the Angels.
Los Angeles
The Angels have lost seven of their last 10 games versus the Yankees at home.
Prediction:
Despite Harvey’s struggles, the Yankees’ bats are due to cool off. They have too many injuries to their lineup and they see a major park downgrade moving from Yankee Stadium to Angel Stadium. The under is 19-7-1 in the last 27 meetings between these two teams in Los Angeles and is 16-7-1 in the Angels’ last 24 games overall. The under is also 6-2 in the Yankees’ last eight games overall.
The Pick: Yankees/Angels UNDER 8.5
