Chicago Cubs DFS SPIN
Willson Contreras slugged a go-ahead two-run homer to push the Cubs over the Brewers on Tuesday night, 3-2. Contreras also reached earlier after being hit by a Brandon Woodruff pitch in the fourth inning; he later scored on a Kris Bryant sac fly. The 28-year-old catcher’s two-run shot happened in the eighth inning off Brent Suter, and drove in Ian Happ to give Chicago that 3-2 lead. This was Contreras’ second dinger of the year; he sits at an .810 OPS so far, in line with his .812 career OPS.
Milwaukee Brewers DFS SPIN
Brewers manager Craig Counsell said Lorenzo Cain (quad) will be reevaluated on Wednesday. Cain was removed from Tuesday night’s game against the Cubs before the top of the third inning due to what’s being labeled for now as left quad discomfort. “We were at the point where it was risky keeping him out there,” Counsell told reporters after the 3-2 loss to Chicago. “We’ll assess it tomorrow a little bit and hopefully the off day helps and we’ll see what this weekend brings.”
